Laura George

Professional Experience
Laura is a practicing lawyer, with more than 15 years of experience, specializing in corporate-related matters with a strong background in intellectual property (IP). Her work as IP lawyer entails providing legal advice on a range of issues from commercial viability and marketing to vesting ownership and infringement. She has provided legal advice to clients in numerous litigation matters, covering different IP cases to counter infringement of international brands. In addition, Laura has worked with multiple national and international law firms covering a wide range tasks, including drafting contracts and non-closure agreements, preparing applications for trademarks and patents and other forms of intellectual property protection. IP is not the only practise that Laura is experienced in. She has vast experience in licensing of companies as well as ensuring their compliance and securitization. Laura has notable experience in company secretarial-related matters, whereby she performed advisory roles to our clients. In the course of her career, she has amassed a wealth of reliable contacts in various government institutions which is very useful and beneficial to our clients.

Bakari Ndeke (LL. B), Senior Associate is an advocate admitted to the Tanzania bar with more than 9 years’ experience in practicing law in Tanzania. Beatrice Mrosso (LL.B), Associate is a practicing attorney who has been admitted to the Tanzania bar. She has worked as an house counsel and in various law firms in Tanzania. Lucas is a young promising litigator who has just been admitted to the Tanzania Bar. Whilst he has worked with our corporate team on compliance & licensing matters, he has an eye for litigation. Justine Joas

Justine Joas, (BCTM) is an experienced accountant and tax adviser. He assists our Firm in all accounting and tax matters. In addition, he provides tax support to our clients who are establishing operations in Tanzania and his support includes advisory on the standard tax obligations, assists in obtaining tax clearance certificates and approvals from the Revenue Authority when there is restructuring of the entities. Also, he represents our clients in negotiations with the Tax Authority.
